The Name
Why Elpis?
When Pandora opened her jar and every hardship escaped into the world, one thing remained: Elpis. Ancient scholars debate whether she was trapped inside as a curse or preserved as humanity's greatest gift. We believe the latter.
Elpis wasn't passive optimism. She was the capacity to anticipate, to plan forward, to see a path when others saw only chaos. That's exactly what the college admissions process demands — and exactly what most families lack when they're staring down a list of reach schools and a blank Common App.
We named this practice after her because the work we do isn't cheerleading. It's navigation.

Before working with families in Union County, I spent years applying Structured Analytic Techniques — the same frameworks used by intelligence analysts to reduce cognitive bias and sharpen decision-making under uncertainty — to complex, high-stakes problems.
